Is Virtual Yoga a Feasible Option for Stroke Survivors?

A stroke can severely affect a person’s ability to walk and be independent. We are studying how yoga, a form of exercise involving physical movements, meditation, and breathing exercises, can help stroke survivors improve their balance, walking, and mental health. Some research suggests that yoga may be better than traditional exercise for improving health outcomes. In this study, we will compare the feasibility and impact of delivering a yoga program virtually or in-person in stroke survivors. This research aims to enhance the health and well-being of people in Nova Scotia by offering healthcare that focuses on stroke survivors’ needs, is adaptable to their preferences, and improves their level of function.
